Continuity of foreign policy principles and goals and efforts to maintain the status quo can be considered the common denominator of all theories presented in relation to the goals and principles of Saudi foreign policy, so stability and continuity as an important component of conservatism in Saudi foreign policy can be continued. And examined the continuation of the application of its principles and grand goals in the framework of foreign policy. But in recent years, the country's approaches to the region indicate a shift from conservative tradition to an aggressive approach. The active and widespread presence in the Syrian crisis and the confrontational efforts against Iran show that Saudi Arabia has entered a different stage in its foreign policy. In this regard, this article seeks to answer the question of what factors have led to a change in the behavioral patterns of Saudi Arabia's foreign policy in the Persian Gulf region? Also, what effect has the role and approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region had on this change in Saudi foreign policy? Accordingly, the paper hypothesizes that Saudi Arabia's foreign policy approach (especially after the fall of Saddam in Iraq) has shifted from a conservative to an aggressive one, with regional conditions playing a role. The research method is based on descriptive-analytical research strategy.
